Schools

糖心Swag serves nearly 16,500 students attending 34 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, one middle school, one Kindergarten-to-Grade 12 school and we feed into the very popular Thompson Rivers University-TRU World.

Our International Student Program is hosted at six of the secondary schools within the city of Kamloops and at Clearwater in the beautiful North Thompson valley.

Programs

We are one of the world leaders in English, Math and Science with British Columbia being one of the highest ranking provinces and Kamloops being one of the best districts. We offer a variety of programs to suit the needs of our students. We provide support for our students with Counseling and English as a Second Language as required.

Along with the academic programs available to our students, the International Program offers a vibrant activities program for all of our International Students to enjoy!

Cultural Experience

International students are invited to attend our high schools for shorter-term placements ranging from two months to one year.

These placements focus on the Canadian experience and are ideal for students seeking to improve their English-language skills. Students receive credit for academic coursework but do not remain in Canada long enough to graduate.

Activities

With four seasons and a mild, pleasant climate, Kamloops is a natural playground. We are the 'Sports Capital of Canada'. There are year round sports opportunities for students to enjoy. And for those who prefer a little less active life-style, Kamloops provides several options to have fun in the city. Kamloops is a great place to live, study and visit!

Specialty shorter term and individual programs are also available and designed in consultation with schools, agents and parents.

Our programs combine the best of academics along with cultural immersions and Activities that allow students to truly experience Canada and have the chance for personal growth during their time here.

We focus on helping students have a chance to discover themselves while living and learning in a high-quality, friendly environment. Students, parents and agents may request placement into a particular school if room is available. Our International Program team will do its best to match each student in one of our amazing schools. Space is limited, and the program is based on first come, first served with applications.

Not Ready for Travel?
We are the only District in British Columbia to be sanctioned by the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care to give credit to International students living abroad for courses taken outside of Canada. These courses are provided through the internet and are highly interactive between the teacher and the student. For more information see .
