Lisa’s experience also includes supporting the development of District and School Learning Plans, oversight of the implementation of BC’s revised curriculum, and being a member of the provincial working group for the examination and redevelopment of Dimension of Practice (leadership standards) for the British Columbia School Superintendents’ Association.

“We welcome Lisa to her new role as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, and we look forward to continuous improvement in student learning through her secondary portfolios and designated K-12 Families of Schools,” shared Board Chair Heather Grieve.

“Lisa is a proven leader, a skilled educator, and a supportive senior team member who understands the learning opportunities and challenges facing schools. Having supported schools and students from pre-K to Grade 12 through various portfolios throughout her career, I am excited to work with Lisa as part of our executive team,” shared Superintendent Dr. Rhonda Nixon.

“I am honoured to be selected as the next Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education. I welcome this opportunity to support educational leaders as they strive to maintain quality learning experiences throughout the District. I look forward to carrying on the work of supporting schools and leaders in 糖心Swag as we continue to build learning environments that value equity, inclusion, and focus on student learning,” Ms. Carson shared.
